Call The Puffins by Cath Howe

I liked this book - it's all about a puffling called Muffin. She decides that she'd like to join a rescue team (who rescue eggs and baby birds).

Her dad had joined it when he was a puffling, he had all of the badges on his sash, and Muffin just wants to help. She has to be brave on a rescue to save a baby chick.

Muffin also makes a friend. He's quite a big bird (and not round his tummy) but his name is Tiny. They have fun together and in the end, they play with the other birds in the giant bird bath holding the mystery egg. Sounds a bit crazy, but it's actually really fun.

It was a big adventure for little Muffin and she sounds so cute that I want her to be real so that I can hug her and squeeze her!

I also like the bit at the end where it gives you information about puffins.
