Sophie's Snail by Dick King Smith

This book is about a little girl called Sophie who is 4 years old. I like how Sophie always gets her own way, because even though she's small, she's very determined. When her brothers decide to have a snail race, Sophie picks a snail that's a lot like her. I don't want to say what happens but this book definitely shows that big things can come in small packages!

I enjoyed reading this book because two totally different species have very similar personalities and it's not what you would expect. It's a big adventure with spots of fun along the way.

This is the first in the series - there are 5 more in store. I've read them all now, and they're all pretty good. My favourite is probably 'Sophie's Tom' which is the next one after this one, but this review is about 'Sophie's Snail' - and I recommend you read it.
