This is one of my favourite ever books.

It's written by the creator of Bunny vs Monkey, it's a comic book... and it is hilarious!

Looshkin is a blue cat, who is absolutely crazy. He does things like painting a bum on the wall, getting INTO the internet (by slapping cheesy toast onto the laptop) and going to space... without being launched!

The blurb on the back says 'A scientific study into THE MADDEST CAT EVER! - by Prof P. P. Wobblybum' - ha ha!

The book is made up of lots of short stories, all about the mad things that happen to Looshkin and the ridiculous, wacky ideas he comes up with.

I could never guess what was going to happen next, but it always made me laugh.

If you have a very silly sense of humour then you will probably love this book as much as I did. I've now read it 5 times. No, 6. And I'm onto all the Bunny Vs Monkey books next. I hope they're as good, and I might do a review.

(It deserves an extra star!)

There is a boy. His name's Al (that is obvious, I know). He is trying to make a time machine to send his mum back in time because mum is busy and sad since his dad died. He has a sister called Lottie who is very clever. She helps him try to build the time machine. And they want it to be a surprise for mum.

Al's Awesome Science: Busy Bodies by Jane Clarke

There are lots of different experiments in this book, mostly messy ones. One nice, tidy one. They sounded like fun!

I sort of liked this book. I liked how Al, his friends and Lottie were so kind to Al's mum to spend most of their time trying to make a time machine for her. I didn't like how it was very short and sometimes it was a bit boring. It's hard to explain but it didn't feel very bright.

I liked this book - it's all about a puffling called Muffin. She decides that she'd like to join a rescue team (who rescue eggs and baby birds).

Call the Puffins by Cath Howe

Her dad had joined it when he was a puffling, he had all of the badges on his sash, and Muffin just wants to help. She has to be brave on a rescue to save a baby chick.

Muffin also makes a friend. He's quite a big bird (and not round his tummy) but his name is Tiny. They have fun together and in the end, they play with the other birds in the giant bird bath holding the mystery egg. Sounds a bit crazy, but it's actually really fun.

It was a big adventure for little Muffin and she sounds so cute that I want her to be real so that I can hug her and squeeze her!

I also like the bit at the end where it gives you information about puffins.
